Back Pain
More about Back Pain
Back pain is very common and most of us will experience it at some point in our lives. For the vast majority of people it is not caused by anything serious and it is likely to get better by itself within a few weeks. Sciatica occurs when your sciatic nerve is irritated or compressed, this can give you pain and pins and needles going down your leg to your foot. It’s important to keep moving and bed rest for more than a couple of days is not advised. However, if you are struggling to manage your symptoms and would like treatment or if you would just like advice and reassurance we are here to help.
Back Pain
During an appointment with us you will firstly receive a full assessment where we will take time to find out about the pain and how it affects you. We will then assess your back movements, muscle strength and nerve function. We will be able to explain the cause of your symptoms and come up with a treatment plan. Treatment can include various hands on techniques as well as exercise prescriptions tailored for you. We’ll make sure you go home with a better understanding of your problem, and a plan of what you can do to help yourself.
